The Main Lodge
The UXU Ranch is an historic Dude Ranch located in the Shoshone National Forest, along U.S. Highway 14-16-20 in Park County, Wyoming. The centrally located Grand Lodge is surrounded by guest cabins and supporting buildings. A total of 18 buildings and structures are laid out in typical rustic guest ranch style. Construction materials are primarily wood (log or board and batten) with stone and cement foundations. The contributing buildings and structure evolved over a period of years from the late 1800’s through the 1930’s, with minimal remodeling to accommodate modern plumbing and mechanical system updates. They have historic integrity of design, materials, workmanship, and a feeling in association with early Western guest ranching. The Wyoming Historical Society has suggested that The UXU Ranch is one of the most intact of the Dude Ranches on the North Fork.
