Embark on a Horseback Riding Adventure
Trail rides are offered Wednesday, Friday and Saturday’s, with options for a 1-hour ride ($65) or a 2-hour ride ($115), plus USFS service fees. Ask about the Adventure ride for our more experienced riders.
Come spend some time in the saddle and take in the quiet beauty of Wyoming—ride terrain most guests never get to see—safely and comfortably. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been riding for years, our trails wind through scenic meadows, along the river, and into the kind of country that stays with you long after the ride is over.
Ages & Guidelines:
- Ages 6+ welcome on trail rides
- Ages 4–5 can enjoy limited horse leads in the corrals
- Weight limit: 250 lbs
If you’d like to reserve your ride, just send us the details below and we’ll get a pre-confirmation and waiver over to you. Please include the full name of each rider along with individual rider details—we’ll take it from there and get you set for a great day on the trail.
Adventure Ride Info & Requirements
Our Adventure Ride is an authentic Wyoming backcountry experience designed for experienced horseback riders seeking to explore rugged mountain trails, breathtaking overlooks, and remote wilderness that few visitors ever have the opportunity to experience.
To participate, guests must:
- Be an advanced, confident rider with previous horseback riding experience.
- Be in good physical condition and capable of spending approximately 3 hours in the saddle over steep, uneven mountain terrain.
- Wear proper footwear—cowboy boots with a defined heel are required.
- Have no fear of heights, as portions of the trail traverse high mountain ridges and narrow paths.
- Be comfortable riding at elevation and have no altitude-related medical concerns.
Ride Duration: Approximately 3 hours (times may vary depending on trail conditions and pace).
Price: $225.00 per person plus USFS fee ($6)
Please Note: For the safety of both our guests and horses, UXU Ranch wranglers reserve the right to determine whether a rider has the experience and ability necessary to participate in this adventure.

Our experienced DRA CERTIFIED wranglers will guide you through the picturesque landscapes that border the ranch, offering a unique perspective of this beautiful area.
The UXU Ranch requires an activity waiver to be signed for all actives participated at while at The UXU Ranch.
