Stage Stop

Stage Stop – 1898

Stage Stop, originally a stagecoach stop from the late 1800s, is a historic and unique addition to UXU Ranch. The one-story log cabin, composed of two pre-1900 structures joined in an “L” shape, was reconstructed on the ranch in 1997. Perched on the high banks of the Shoshone River, it offers breathtaking views of the river and Absaroka Mountains to the north and pastures to the south.

The cabin features a king bed in a private bedroom, four twin beds in a second room, and two bathrooms with enclosed showers and double sinks. A stone fireplace adds rustic warmth, making it ideal for families or groups of up to six guests. Accessed via its own private road, Stage Stop blends history and comfort for an unforgettable Wyoming retreat.

Not included in the “All-Inclusive Dude Ranch Vacation” are Friday and Saturday Night. Weekend rates, open to the public, start at $275 to $400 per night depending on the season, plus 15% tax and fees.
