The food, the atmosphere, the breathtaking scenic views, the trail rides, and the cozy log cabins provide an outstanding experience. It is everything you imagine when thinking mountain west vacation. Highly recommend visiting during summer to see the beauty of the mountains, wild flowers, Cody Nite Rodeo, and driving through Yellowstone National Park. It is a bucket list destination waiting to happen! Can’t wait to visit again!Posted on Nesta ReenoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The experience I had while being on this ranch for a little under a week was amazing. It had me forgetting about a whole bunch of everyday stress and I wouldn't be surprised if it does the same for others. It's hard NOT to leave a solid 5 star review.Posted on Tonya McKnightTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our 5-night stay at the UXU Ranch was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the Wyoming mountains, this charming ranch offered the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality by Mike and Peggy. We enjoyed delicious cowboy meals prepared by Chef Romi and one evening we were treated to an authentic cowboy chuck wagon steak dinner. Our time was filled with unforgettable experiences - horseback riding through scenic trails with Sutton and the wranglers, whitewater rafting on the Shoshone River, a guided tour through Yellowstone and an exciting evening at the Cody Rodeo. Our cabin was clean, cozy, rustic and comfortable. Mornings were serene, with the sound of the river, the scent of pine trees and the occasional adolescent black bear foraging for food. Our evenings were spent dining with new friends, roping, and fireside chats. What truly sets UXU Ranch apart is its ability to make you feel completely unplugged and connected to nature, it invites you to slow down and savor the moment. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you, John and your amazing staff, for an unforgettable experience!Posted on 6monizTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great time at the UXU Ranch in WY, horse back riding, white water rafting, Cody Rodeo and a full day in Yellowstone Park. I can't say enough about John and his staff at the UXU Ranch. Every activity was planned and executed very professionally. Then there is the food (DELICIOUS) From the salad to dessert, a number 10, all day long!!! We had a great group of guests, which made the experience so enjoyable.Posted on Nicholas McFarlandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My Fiance and I stayed here for two nights at the end of our 10 day road trip. Before we got to UXU Ranch, I was tired and ready to go home. By the end of our time there, I was sad to leave. UXU Ranch made us feel like we were part of their family. The meals were home cooked, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the views were breathtaking, and horse back riding through the mountains is my new favourite activity. It was easily my favourite part of our trip. I highly recommend UXU Ranch.Posted on Enora rousseauTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Joey VazquezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Words will do little justice to describe our phenomenal experience on UXU Ranch but I will try my best. Planning this trip back around 7 months ago, John was there every step of the way. He worked with us and ensured us that we would have the best time— and we did! For those researching an experience like this, look no further. UXU Ranch was the perfect getaway that we will cherish forever. From the trail riding, sharing stories around the lodge, having a cup of coffee on the deck looking across the property, our trip to Yellowstone, the town of Cody and everything in between— our days were filled to the brim with moments that we will never forget. We cannot be more grateful to John and the whole staff! Also if you were wondering about the food…Romi is the best chef and her menu was incredible! I highly recommend UXU for those looking for a peaceful yet adventurous week on a ranch that encompasses all that makes The West so special!Posted on Karen WhitmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have just returned from an amazing visit to UXU Ranch in Cody, WY! There were 7 of us and all we can say is WOW! Although we have traveled around the world, this was clearly our adult children's favorite vacation. John Grief, ranch owner, truly understands hospitality! He has put together an amazing team that tend to every detail. Having spent my career in hospitality, it is rare to see a team that is so unified in a goal to make sure every guest and every detail is attended to! The food was amazing!!! Romy, the chef extraordinaire, prepared exquisite meals, including homemade pastries every morning. The variety of meals was impressive. The setting of the ranch takes your breath away! The horseback riding was also over the top. The wranglers do a great job in matching riders with horses that will fit their riding style. Our family rode 4 times in 5 days! A highlight of the trip! UXU offers a great family vacation for extended families and small groups. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT...we will be back!!!Posted on Laura MaherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did a couple family trail rides and they were amazing!! There are NO words that can describe the experience we just had near Cody WY at the UXU Ranch, but I will do my best as this was the most amazing experience I've ever had and I've been to Rome, Vietnam, South Korea, the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada and so much more. The hospitality was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Leaving the ranch after six days felt like leaving my family. You're not allowed to do a thing, there's someone there at every turn asking what can I get you? The staff was second to none!!! Deidra,Peggy and Mike were always there to make sure you had every little thing desired. The lodge was open 24/7 and there was no shortage of food. Let's talk about food...oh my word! Sweet sweet Romi. Romi is the head chef and I'm here to tell you her food was the best I've ever had in 5 star resorts and anywhere in the world. She makes better croissants (all kinds) better than they are in Paris..no joke! The best ribeyes , fresh veggies and mostly organic, fresh berries and melons at every meal and her homemade chocolate chip cookies available 24/7. However the best part of her food was the love she puts into every single thing she creates. She even made her own pasta from scratch and there were kids there that ate nothing but butter pasta and peanut butter sandwiches and she made them every single day for these guests desired menu. I've never been so full for so long. You never went hungry. Then at meal time, breakfast, lunch and dinner the dinner bell was rung and you could hear it any where you were. I could go on and on but I will go to the next amazing part. The activities were endless. You were never bored in fact you were hoping for a minute of down time just to catch your breath. Everything from horseback riding (true mountain trails) to whitewater rafting on the Shoshone River, touring Yellowstone, trout fishing, the rodeo, the best dinner show with extremely talented musicians, shopping, roping, s'mores around the camp fires , story telling about the ranch, birds of prey, live wildlife sightings. the history of the ranch, cornhole and target shooting bebe guns to name a few. Now Sutton the head wrangler and her team of wranglers including live rodeo ropers JB and Brady and then Pia and Franka cowgirls from Germany made quite the team. They made sure your horse suited your riding experience and allowed you to truly get the dude ranch experience you hoped for. Last but not least, as I could go on and on, was John. John is the owner and he was there constantly, doing chores, making sure everyone had anything and everything they needed or wanted. He made special trips into town ( an hour away) to get things requested and refused to allow us to pay ( for example I requested orange Gatorade and not only did he get it he brought 60 to be sure I had enough). Needless to say he has most of the gatorades for future guests. He would start the fire pits, pick up your plates or drive you to your cabin on the razor ! John is the ultimate host. All I can say is if you miss this one you will miss out on one of, if not the greatest adventure of your life. Thank you John, Romi, Sutton and the whole staff. We will never forget this experience.
